A new world..A different time. So hard to say whether this place is more or less golden than the last. Deep in love for the first time, I saw things so differently. Engaged in a new system of responsibility, my corporate work drove me to feel accomplishment I'd never known. It's been 7 years, and both those facets pinnacled and fell, one as intense as the other.

Was I stronger then, facing vulnerability as I was? As knowledgeable, perhaps not, but what I did with the knowledge I *had* is judged in a whole separate fashion. I became all the more reflective in that time. So much learning to be done, with so much passion. I suppose I can only credit myself with the continued yearning for knowledge, but socially, I'm ever self-critical. I don't think I'm as far off from where I'd like to be as I think, but my last relationship had quite a negative effect on my perception. The lies, elaborate & lasting, took a toll I never should have paid. Were it not for the experience and music I gained, I'd call it all a waste. The band's gone now, in it's place, an experiment hard defined as such, for it's uncertainly begs for different paths; I know not which to take.

Time..will I ever catch up? It's time to take control again. It always has been.
